Skills for Jobs- Spring 2011 Programme

Skills for Jobs is a programme designated to help unemployed people, with few or no qualifications, back into work, training or education.We can offer a range of courses to help you learn new skills that are needed in the workplace. We also help with choosing the right career path and with on-line job search. If you need help with developing your CV and completing application forms, we can do that too!!

PC Technician Level 1
Gain an understanding of how a computer really works!
Starts 7th March (2 days per week) Mondays & Wednesdays for 6 weeks
9.30am- 3.00pm

Customer Service Skills Level 1
Learn the skills required to deliver a quality service.
Starts Monday 8th March
9.30am- 12.30pm

Getting More Out of a Computer
Develop your understanding of the basic functions.
Starts Wednesday 9th March
9.15am-2.15pm

Numeracy Level 1
A chance to improve your Math skills and gain a qualification.
Starts Thursday 17th March
1.00pm-3.00pm

Literacy Level 1
A chance to improve your English skills and gain a qualification.
Start date to be arranged

Computer Confidence
A first step to using and understanding a computer.
Starts Monday 28th March
9.30am-12.30pm

Word Processing Level 1
Use Word to create letters, leaflets and business documents.
Starts Tuesday 5th April
9.30am-12.30pm

UK On-Line My Guide
A free course for absolute beginners.
Every Thursday-
9.30am-11.00am, 11.00am-12.30pm
Friday-
9.30am-11.00am, 11.00am-12.30pm, 12.30pm-2.00pm, 2.00pm-3.30pm
(Session needs to be booked)

Work Club
A chance for unemployed people to access IT facilities and get help and support with CV's, on-line job search and job applications.
Every Friday 9.30am-12.00pm
